Sunrise Fishing
Run toward Pink Beach at first light and troll for tuna, wahoo, mahi mahi and other pelagics as the fish wake up hungry.
Fish with a local, as a local
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced angler, join Captain Carlos for a private, authentic local fishing or snorkeling adventure — Bonaire's only charter using live tuna from a custom-built tuna tube to target wahoo and more.
What we offer
Whether you're here to fish, snorkel, or do both, we have the perfect trip for you.
Run toward Pink Beach at first light and troll for tuna, wahoo, mahi mahi and other pelagics as the fish wake up hungry.
Skip the early alarm — troll and bottom-fish into a beautiful Caribbean sunset on the water.
Drop deep between 150 and 700 feet for snapper, grouper and powerful amberjack on live and frozen bait.
The best of both worlds — bottom fishing plus at least two snorkel stops in crystal-clear water.
Cruise Bonaire's coastline and snorkel several hand-picked spots — Klein Bonaire, Salt Pier, 1000 Steps and more.
Straight from sea to table — have your fresh catch cooked the same day at Tasty Bar & Steakhouse.

Our vessel
A 22.5-ft Eduardoño Corvina 225 Panga, personally built up for comfort, safety and fishing.
Gray Sniper is a 22.5-foot Eduardoño Corvina 225 Panga, personally designed and upgraded by Captain Carlos and always kept in top condition. It's stable, quick to the fishing grounds and comfortable for a small, private group of up to 4 guests. The deck is fully covered in soft SeaDek — clean and comfortable underfoot — and a Rockford Bluetooth sound system lets you play your favorite music on the water. A custom-made boarding ladder makes getting in and out of the water easy, so snorkeling is even more enjoyable.

Meet the captain
I was born and raised in Bonaire. I started fishing with my father from the shore at a young age, and at just 14 I got my first 8-foot boat. What began as a hobby quickly became a lifelong passion.
At 19 I joined the Dutch Caribbean Coast Guard in Curaçao, where I gained valuable experience in navigation, maritime safety, and search and rescue. Above all, I learned one lesson I still follow today: the safety of my guests and crew always comes first.
After several years in the Coast Guard, I turned my passion for the ocean into Bonaire Fish Things. Today I'm the founder, owner and captain, combining my local knowledge with professional maritime experience to offer private fishing charters and snorkeling adventures.
I fish like a local because I am a local. I use traditional techniques — trolling, bottom fishing, handline fishing and live-bait fishing — combined with modern equipment to give you a genuine local experience. Whether you're an experienced angler, a first-time fisherman, or here to explore Bonaire's coastline while snorkeling, every trip is private and personal. I'd love to welcome you aboard and show you my island the way locals experience it.

What to bring
Marine Park nature fee — required
All non-resident guests need a valid Bonaire Nature Fee before the trip. It's $40 USD, valid the whole calendar year, and covers all water activities in the Bonaire National Marine Park. Children under 13 and residents of Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Sint Eustatius and Sint Maarten are exempt. Your fee is checked before departure.
Buy your nature fee →Fish sharing
After the trip Captain Carlos cleans your catch and you may take home up to one-third (1/3) of the total catch — you choose which fish, cleaned, filleted and bagged at no extra cost. We keep every legal, edible fish, except protected species. On Bonaire, fish is never wasted — anything left is shared with locals, family, friends and restaurants.
Boat ride conditions
Every day on the water is different. Depending on the weather and sea, the ride can be smooth or more adventurous — on windy days expect more movement, sea spray and a chance of getting wet. It's all part of a real local adventure.
Pro tip
Bring only the essentials — if you're a group, use one small bag. No shoes on board: the deck is fully covered in soft SeaDek, so flip-flops come off and everyone goes barefoot. It's soft, clean and very comfortable.
Arriving by cruise ship?
Share your schedule and we'll adjust our trip times to match your plans. We can even pick you up by boat at the pier at Chachacha Beach — about a 5-minute walk from the cruise port, so there's no need to pay a taxi to the meeting point.
Chachacha pier on the map →No experience needed — trips are beginner- and family-friendly, and the captain guides you the whole way. The only thing you need is a valid Bonaire Nature Fee (see above); everything else is taken care of.
Yes. Groups are small and private and the pace is relaxed, so families and first-timers are very welcome. We don't recommend the trip for children under 5 or guests with back or spinal conditions.
The water is usually calmest around sunrise. If you're prone to motion sickness, take a remedy about an hour before departure and keep your eyes on the horizon. There's no restroom on board, so plan accordingly.
The captain cleans your catch and you take home up to one-third of it, cleaned and bagged. Or add Catch & Cook and have it prepared the same day at Tasty Bar & Steakhouse. On Bonaire, fish is never wasted.
Cash only, on the day of your trip. Prices are per private boat (1–4 guests), not per person, and we offer a best price guarantee.
